First Visit
Our office is committed to providing you and your family with safe, gentle, high-quality care. We understand you may feel anxious about your visit. We are sensitive to your needs, and it is our goal to make you feel comfortable and to provide you with the best care possible.
We will generally request a referral form and current X-rays from your dentist before your initial visit. During your first appointment, we will discuss your current condition, will review X-rays and diagnostic information sent by your dentist, will review your dental and medical history, and will perform a dental/oral evaluation. If necessary, we will discuss with you the possible need for additional diagnostic images and will take additional X-rays as needed. We will then explain to you your current condition and treatment options in detail. It is important to us that you have a clear understanding of your options so you can make an informed decision.
After our clinical consultation, our administrative staff will explain to you the treatment from a financial perspective and will assist you with questions you may have regarding insurance coverage.
During consultations related to dental implants we sometimes need to take 3D images of your teeth and bone structure i.e., computerized cone-beam tomography (CBCT).
Bring your smile to your visit, and also remember to bring these with you to your first appointment:
- Your completed patient forms including a complete list of current medications.
- Referral slip and any x-rays or relevant documentation.
- If you have dental insurance, please bring your insurance card.
Please Note: All patients under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the consultation appointment.
Please notify our office in advance if you have a medical condition that requires antibiotic prophylaxis (e.g., artificial heart valves, recently operated prosthetic joints, heart defects) or a condition that may affect this visit. We understand that you have a busy schedule, your appointments can last between 45 and 90 minutes depending on the complexity of the condition.
Please do not hesitate to contact our scheduling coordinator at [email protected] if you have any question prior to your visit.
We look forward to seeing you!
