Meet Dr. Ronderos
Mauricio Ronderos, DDS, MS, MPH
Dr. Mauricio Ronderos is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. Since 2002 he has maintained a specialty practice limited to the treatment of periodontal (gum) problems, bone regeneration, and dental implants. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Ronderos is an active academician. He is a former member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Clinical Periodontology (ranked as the number one journal in scientific impact in dentistry by the ISI Journal Citation Reports in 2010). Dr. Ronderos is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Periodontics at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry; he gives seminars to the periodontology residents at the UCSF Dental School and gives lectures and continuing education courses. Dr. Ronderos has given scientific presentations at local, national, and international dental meetings and is the author of various scientific publications.
Dr. Ronderos completed his Periodontology residency program at the University of Minnesota, School of Dentistry. He also obtained a Masters of Science degree and a Masters of Public Health in Epidemiology from the same institution. Dr. Ronderos came to the Bay Area in 1999 as a full-time Professor of Periodontics at the University of the Pacific and surgeon of the UOP Dental Implant Team.
Dr. Ronderos is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology, American Board of Periodontology, International Team of Implantology, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the San Mateo County Dental Society.
